Well i got 6 cats,so i checked out the meanings of their names, my oldest boy,Cat,thats obvious,a little furry animal. Floyd means grey haired! he's ginger,lol. but no meaning was found for my other cats, Marley, Dylan, Bolan and Toto.

I think that those names weren't found because those are much closer to dog names... maybe. That is just a guess.

I'm fascinated with Greek and Roman goddesses. So I named my cat "Venus" because she's beautiful. No further explanation. LOL.

Our names were not there either but this is why they are named what they are

Linx - because he is a lynx point
Mischka - little bear in russian
Sundance - - because he is the sunshine of my life
Pandia - means all bright
Freesia because it sounds cold not because of the flower

Love the names you have for your cats,mine are all named after singers or bands,(except Cat) I have a new kitten now,his name is Finn,I looked it up and it means fair. He is fair too,except for his points.Look! xxxxx

Hello everyone! My name is Frances and I have many cats but one unusual male cat. He was born last year so he is soon to start mating (I think). My curiousity is his behavior with his mother's latest litter. At first he acted jealous but now he is her built-in babysitter.

At first my husband and I were astounded b/c we had never seen a male cat stay at home and take care of his mother's litter. Now, we have accepted that Tigger is just a loving cat and enjoys the tiny brothers he has adopted. We can find him at night all curled up with the last 3 of them. He even grooms them like his mother does. At night, mom is gone doing her thing. Sometimes she leaves during the day and Tigger is again babysitting.

My question is....is this normal for a 1 year old male cat?

It never happened to me but I must say that it is very interesting.
It is great to have more than one babysitter it seems to be normal...
You must be concerned if he attack them, but in this case is just the opposite. Lovely!
