The offspring will probably be barking instead of meowing...The first answer is good.

Well the 1st thing you should do when you rescue cats/kittens is to take them to the vet and get shots/checkup/ and spaying or neutering done. But since it's already done & over with, the kittens may or may not be fine. There's no way to tell until they're born. There is no way to prevent it now, but from now on keep ALL animals spayed/neutered.

I had a cat impregnated by her brother and the kittens turned out fine. One of them had an extra digit on each front paw, but nowadays that seems like a normal trait.

When we have a small genetic pool, you either get genius or ignoramus. Just depends on the odds. You can see it in the royals! You may even get an extra toe if you're lucky!

You need to get both cats to the vet and have them spayed and neutered ASAP! You do not want mentally and physically deformed kittens. Many spay clinics will work with rescuers on fees for the procedures.

i'm sure they'll be fine but i kind of find it unusual.
i rescued a mama cat and her baby (male) when he was 3 weeks old.
almost like clock work as soon as he turned 4 months old she stopped nursing him and would not let him near her.she had also gone into heat.
every time he tried to get near her or nurse she hissed and growled at him.
i got both of them spayed/neutered at the same time.
about a month later low and behold mama once again let baby get close to her.they both were now sterile!
